Indeed, there is magic in this universe, as evidenced by Mr. Angry-Flame-Hands-Guy here. We’ll go into a little more detail further in the prologue, but since a lot of things regarding magic are still unknown in-universe, we’ll leave some things a mystery for now.

Also I feel like we should address this now, as it will probably be asked quite a bit. We are not referring to “Pagans” in the traditional sense, it is just a name we decided to give one of the two major religions of this world (the other being “Purist”). These also aren’t meant to be commentaries on any specific religions in real life, it’s all just part of the story. As the story goes on, you’ll see plenty of good and bad from both sides, but saying anymore than that would be spoilers…
